Adoption Process at Ten Oaks Doodles
Once you have decided to make one of our puppies a family member, you may make a non-refundable deposit of $400.00. (If using PayPal $414.85 , PayPal fee $14.85) by PayPal or check by mail, credit card,(3.5% fee), or Venmo, which will put your name on our limited waitlist. We keep our waitlist small so we do not oversell our puppies. With a high demand for our puppies, we want everyone to get their puppy in the shortest time possible. We don’t think it’s fair to have a waitlist of 2-3 years. This way, you can know you will have the option to choose your puppy from one of our upcoming litters with a timeframe that will work for your schedule. Your deposit will stay with you till you find your puppy from any of our litters. Note: deposits expire within two years of placement if not used. We will send out puppy announcements as events happen. Puppy selection is scheduled when they are 6 weeks old, through video and pictures. We can always schedule an appointment for FaceTime also. We will have pictures and videos posted at 4 weeks, and 6 weeks of age. We start at the top of the reserve list and will contact you when it’s your turn. If by chance we have extra puppies, we will post the litter when they are 6 weeks old, at which time each puppy is then available to be reserved on a first come first serve basis, again with a $400.00. non-refundable deposit. Our puppies are generally ready to leave us for their new family by 8 weeks of age, however, we do reserve the right to hold them for an extended time if we feel it is necessary to do so. We offer pickup at our home in Southern Iowa and our “extended" family farm in Northern Missouri.
Ground transport can be arranged for closer distances at a rate of (one dollar) per mile, picked up and delivered to an agreed destination. We can also meet you at MCI Airport in Kansas City Missouri at the cost of $175.00. We also offer a Nanny service (flying in the cabin). This includes a nanny ticket, a puppy ticket, and care for the puppy on flight as an option. Our pickup or shipping options will be coordinated at 6 weeks of age after the puppy has been selected by their new family. We prefer all puppies are picked up by 8 weeks, if asked and we agree to hold a puppy, you must pay for the puppy in full by 8 weeks of age, once the puppy hits 8.5 weeks, we will charge $30.00/day for boarding.
Your new puppy will come home up to date on all shots and dewormers ,along with a record of all shots and dewormers given from birth to the date of departure. Whether you decide on a Aussiedoodle, or Sheepadoodle Puppy, your companion can be registered with designerbreedregistry.com if you choose to apply. We also will send a certificate of health from our local veterinarian. We do not microchip, as we have found some families prefer not to have this. Microchipping is very affordable and available at most veterinarian clinics.
